What exactly does being a Straight Edge mean in its original definition?
:bulletblue: no consumption alcohol, no consumption of tobacco, and renunciation of any other
drug
:bulletblue: no promiscuity (sex with often changing partners)
:bulletblue: As an addition the majority of Straight Edgers started to feed
themselves vegetarian or even vegan. Especially in Europe you will only
find few Straight Edgers who are not nourishing themselves
vegetarian or even vegan, the Straight Edge lifestyle normally makes people
turn away quite fast from a meat based diet.

hey hun... just an option? dissable comments on all deviations not by the club itself. thats what one of the clubs im in does. then people have to comment at the actual artists site and it promotes the artist also. just an idea..

Just been reading through the comments here & am most amused to see that this club seems to have upset people already!
That's the problem with sXe'ers & that type, they just take themselves far to seriously & instantly asume that anything like this is having a pop at them! For dog's sake, have a doobie & lighten up guys, we're only having a bit of fun & celebrating the things that we like to do.

I know, I dont have a problem particularly with straight edge people, some of my best friends are straight edge. As I said before this was more of a joke that some people took alittle seriously. I dont do drugs, I dont smoke (occassionally cigars), I do enjoy drinking on occassion, and I dont particpate in sex with multiple partners, I do love meat (personally I think thats a stupid addition). Anyway, no apologies are needed having a debate about beliefs is like having a debate about which cheese tastes better its opinions. I do feel that certain people of the straight edge community go out of their way to make others feel bad, they ride around on a high horse thinking they are better than everyone else. I know same goes for the other side. As said before its all in fun, no offense should be taken, might have been but I suppose thats to be expected. I must say thank you for not being a "dickhead" in your comments your respectful comments where honorable so I was inclined to respond in a thoughtful manor.

I don't know exactly what you specifically take part in, I personally don't go out of my way to put down drug users/ alcohol addicts as I have no interest in doing so. However I do create art based on sxe beliefs, but it is just that; only my beliefs, which I do not force upon others. I should have worded that quote differently as well, I apologize for putting it in the wrong words. It just seemed that this group was against the straight edge group specifically, so I felt it should be stood up to. Ending this, you don't have to let the artwork submitted on the website feel bad. As I would imagine you would know, edgers are discriminated against as well in other situations, so the feelings go both ways I suppose..

*shrugs* club was started as a joke, still pretty much is a joke, I didnt steal your journal I borrowed it and made some alterations its all in fun. "If you want to ruin your health why be upset with people who don't.." I think the real question is why does alot of the artwork on your site try and make an attempt at making me feel bad for what I like and rightfully and legally choose to do?
